Oxford Carnations has been established...

... by Oxford University students.  The service is being launched for the first time in 2006 and will hopefully prove to be a very convenient method of maintaining tradition in the future.

A group of students realised...

... what a pain it was to get hold of a carnation and a pin in time for exams. The florists in Oxford sell out extremely quickly during exam time and the price per stem seems to go up every day! So we set out to organise a pidge-in service whereby students could order their carnations online and receive each one fresh to their pigeon hole right before the relevant exam.
